CNN (01/29/2012) had a report that the average American high school football player received 650 sub-concussion hits per season which increased risk for brain damage of various types. If it does get included, it will be interesting to see how it will impact the popularity of the sport. Inclusion in the Olympics is certainly not necessary to be popular, american football is a testament to that, but it certainly would seem to be a nice boost. Currently, the United States, Brazil and Japan seem to be the dominant countries participating, but there are great fighters from other countries competing at the highest levels. Is there a logic? Japan, and this is due to the fact that Japanese are pretty much fascinated with everything American '" as much as we are fascinated with everything Japanese. Not only they are the most eager buyers and fans of the Apple, they also love Justin Bieber and dreadlocks, but they also have their own professional football and baseball leagues. Negatives for NCAA 12 include the fact that the gameplay is pretty much the same as its past few predecessors. The running controls, physics of the football, and graphical bugs are still issues that have not been fixed. The new custom playbook does not work well at all, unlike Madden. The worst thing about the game is its replay value; the game gets boring fast for non-NCAA fans. Metacritic gave it a Metascore of 81 out of 100 for the PS3 and 82 for the 360.
