** When you were in the installation submenu, you would have seen that there is also what is known as a "full" install of FreeNAS. This doesn't mean that it has any more features or is somehow more complete than the "embedded" version. But rather, it is a way to install FreeNAS like a traditional operating system. The files are installed on the hard disk and if they are edited or deleted they are done so permanently. The embedded version runs from RAM (and is initially loaded from the hard disk) and any changes made to the operating system files will only be temporary and when the system is rebooted, it will return to its original state. /from:[http://www.installationwiki.org/Installing_FreeNAS installationWiki.org]

OK ... as the final solution for my FreeNAS 0.7.2 Sabanda (revision 5266) i have made only those settings, like described before (into file /cf/boot/loader.conf):
 +
mfsroot_load="YES"
 +
mfsroot_type="mfs_root"
 +
mfsroot_name="/mfsroot"
 +
hw.est.msr_info="0"
 +
autoboot_delay="5"
 +
isboot_load="YES"
 +
# ZFS kernel tune
 +
vm.kmem_size="1400M"
 +
vfs.zfs.arc_min="400M"
 +
vfs.zfs.arc_max="400M"
 +
vfs.zfs.prefetch_disable="1"
 +
vfs.zfs.zil_disable="0"
 +
vfs.zfs.txg.timeout="30"
 +
vfs.zfs.vdev.max_pending="35"
 +
vfs.zfs.vdev.min_pending="4"
 +
 +
As addition i have added one variable into rc.conf - this i have made via menue System/Advanced/rc.conf/Edit of FreeNAS webgui:
 +
Name: varsize
 +
Value: 64m
 +
 +
After this changes i NEVER HAD CRASH with my FreeNAS. And i have copied at this time about 4TB of bytes!
 +
Do not those settings under small RAM amount - i have 4GB (3GB are enough for this settings i mean).
